Belabumbum is proud to partner with the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in the campaign, "Supporting Women From Top to Bottom" that highlights the link between breast and ovarian cancers.
We were inspired and created a cami & girlshort in the gorgeous teal color for ovarian cancer awareness and added subtle pink details to symbolize breast cancer.
100% of the proceeds of the sales of these items will benefit the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA).
OCNA's mission is to raise awareness, advocate for women with ovarian cancer, educate individuals and healthcare practitioners, and push for more ovarian cancer research.
About Ovarian Cancer
It is estimated that 12% of women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Ovarian cancer, which generally occurs in older women, is the ninth most common cancer in women and ranks fifth in cancer deaths.
Breast and ovarian cancer are linked: a personal or family history of one disease can increase your risk of developing the other. There are also inherited genetic mutations including BRCA1 and BRCA2 that can increase a woman's risk of breast and ovarian cancer. If you or a close relative have had these cancers, talk to your doctor about genetic counseling to explore your options. Some women with a strong family history may opt for testing to determine whether they carry a genetic mutation. The key to dealing with both of diseases, however, is early screening and treatment.
Pamper yourself for this great cause and join the fight to help us raise awareness by purchasing your set now.
