Founded in 2001 by two friends
Belabumbum was founded in 2001 by two college friends, Alyssa Weiss and Heidi Rauch, who believe in well-being, laughter, and creativity. Belabumbum was inspired by Heidi’s development work across Latin America and tales of better fabrics and cuts in the sunny southern hemisphere.
Sexy, playful, sophisticated styles
Belabumbum’s confections are essential, fashion forward pieces ranging from vibrant printed separates to pretty lace tops and bottoms designed to lounge in, sleep in, and wear out on the town. With just the right amount of detail, Belabumbum lingerie and maternity is playful yet sophisticated. Belabumbum is known for its bold color choices, comfortable fabrics, and luscious laces. The company’s best-selling Copacabana Lace collection is a great example of Belabumbum’s versatile layering pieces. The collection is available in more than 20 colors, and each season fans eagerly await new shades.
Belabumbum Green
In 2007, Belabumbum launched its Green line, with eco-friendly fabrics such as bamboo and organic fruit-dyed cottons. Delicious!
Belabumbum Maternity
When co-founder Alyssa became pregnant, Belabumbum Maternity was born. Belabumbum believes that women grow more beautiful during pregnancy, so the maternity line encourages women to feel pampered, sexy, and hip — during and after pregnancy. Now Heidi also has a child, so there’s an abundance of inspiration to continue to expand the line. Over the last year Belabumbum has more than doubled its maternity business and formed partnerships with some of the largest maternity websites and retailers in the United States, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East.
Supporting women
Belabumbum’s founders started the company to support themselves, the people who work with them, and their customers. The vision? To create collections of fun, feminine styles that accompany women through the creative phases of their life. To accomplish this, they’ve brought together a “mafia” of smart, motivated women who build on each others’s strengths and values. As the company has grown, the need to nurture both babies and business has shaped the design of Belabumbum apparel as well as its operations. Belabumbum works with socially conscious manufacturers in South America to ensure excellent working conditions and job security. Belabumbum has also contributed to countless health and well-being related events and organizations.
